These weapons can go in either the kinetic slot or the energy slot. The main changes to gameplay since Y1 are: So if you did want to play on PC, PS5 or Series X, it's all linked together when you enable cross-save, including your purchased content. If you want more specific "What do?" advice we'll need to know what content you own.Į: Also cross-save/cross-play are a thing now. ![]() Other than that just play the game, don't really worry about gear upgrades until you hit one of the breakpoints that require you to start caring (soft cap 1270, powerful cap 1320). Exotics don't sunset, if you have an exotic it can be leveled up. You can check if something is sunsetted by checking if it's max power is 1060 (open it's details by right clicking), or, save yourself a WORLD of trouble and using a tablet or laptop next to your couch/PlayStation, login and use which has a filter you center enter in the filter box: is:sunset. Some items will be sunsetted though, meaning they can't go any higher (their actual cap is 1060 but bungie bumps them to 1100 anyway). So everything you have equipped or in your storage will be power level 1100 now, just out of the gate. For fools like me who dipped out back when Cayde-6 was still alive, is there any kind of Cliffs Notes for changes to gameplay and systems? Or if I want to try it out “the best D2 has ever been”, do I just “coming back to WoW three expansions later” it up and log in, take careful note of which of my equipped items have some kind of blinking red “this thing is no longer a thing, Guardian!” icon, swap those out for blues, and start wandering around looking for stuff to shoot? How do you do, fellow kids? Enough “zomg D2 is the best it has ever been” sentiment has filtered its way into my lens on the zeitgeist that I am reading this thread again, and wondering just how much it would hurt my poor PS4 Pro’s feelings to be asked to reinstall xxGB of game. I still need to complete one fragment quest and knock out the weekly pinnacles (except for the Crucible one which got covered by IB) and it looks like momentum control is on the menu again so I can complete the week 1 triumph that I missed. My K/DA, which is sitting at 0.66 for this "year", was around 0.8 for the evening. And I was not on the bottom of the leaderboard for most of my games. Iron Banner this week, so I logged in last night and knocked all four IB bounties out in a single sitting. I haven't even started Season of the Splicer yet, aside from the "free" content (VoG, and all the cutscenes they made us watch) but I'm looking forward to it! (I had already played the final mission of the season a few dozen times as a Strike, so it was easy to complete.) Overall: good storytelling and I enjoyed the Battleground events. I've only unlocked about half of the Hammer upgrades, but, similar to the "Sabotage" things on Europa, I don't see a driving need for them. At one point it refused to advance without me logging out and then back it to watch a cutscene not sure why it didn't trigger during normal gameplay. Season of the Chosen - Storyline done.Overall: this season was confusing and seemingly pointless. A few of the Triumph seem to be bugged and unable to be completed (or maybe they were supposed to be timed? Who knows?) I've completed the Hawkmoon exotic questline, but the Harbinger event is beyond my skill ability to complete solo. Season of the Hunt - Storyline done? I have no idea what a Wrathborne is or why they are bad, but I've filled in all of the reputation boxes on Crow (on Tangled Shore).(I still switch back to Arc for PvP though.) I have not yet done Deep Stone Crypt. Overall: unlocking Stasis was annoying and difficult, but now that I've got an almost full quiver of abilities to use, it's become my go-to for PvE content due to the high level of control it allows. I still have two more weeks of Fragment quests, and a handful of Vakris' "Sabotage" quests. ![]() And then chip away at the older seasonal content if I finish those up and it's still early and I have time. Welp, I've been jumping in to D2 for a day or two each week for the last few weeks, just to knock out the two weekly Stasis fragment quests and grab the three weekly pinnacles.
